Declan Christmas Shoot 2014

This little guy gives us the best faces every time we stick a camera in front of him. The focus was strong with the candy cane this time around and he could care less that we were in front of him taking pictures. We only used the light from the big window next to the tree for this shoot and they came out great.

Newsome Wedding 10.25.14

Witnessing the joining of friends and family during an important time in two peoples lives is amazing to see. We had the privilege of photographing the union of Christina and Benjamin this October and even through all the craziness of the day they got lost in the moment, truly enjoying their time together. The families and friends brought so much love to this couple, it could be felt throughout the day. Whether it was helping the bride get ready, seeing how she was feeling after her trying day beforehand, making sure the venue was set, and that everything went off without a hitch.

We spent some time with this couple back in May when we shot their engagement pictures at Landa Park. If you missed their engagement shoot, check it out or take a look back CLICK HERE!

The ceremony and the reception was held at the Schertz Civic Center which was transformed into Chrissy's purple and black wonderland. The space was perfect for us to move around and stay out of the way while we captured the special moments of the day.

Week Eleven...52 Week Challenge

Week eleven of our 52 week photo challenge! This week the challenge was to get photos of Fall. The seasons do not change very much in the state of Texas so finding color changing foliage is always a challenge. We were lucky enough that the Dallas Arboretum was having their autumn display this month and we decided to head over to see what was photo worthy! Week Eight...52 Week Challenge

Week eight of our 52 week photo challenge! This week the challenge was to get photos of Sports. While we were in Jersey we had the opportunity to watch the game with our niece, big Eagles fan. Lots of pictures were taken while she was jumping around the room and laughing, mainly because her dad gave her some iced tea that morning. Unfortunately our beloved Eagles lost to the 49rs last weekend but we got some great shots of our little fans jersey and Eagle pride! Let us know your thoughts, what do you think?

Our schedule was a little thrown off by vacation so we are making up for the missing posts!

Week seven of our 52 week photo challenge! This week the challenge was to get photos of Sunsets. We took a multitude of photos of the sunset while we were on vacation in Curacao and it was very difficult to choose between them. This post includes three photos that we fell in love with instantly. Week Five...52 Week Challenge

Our schedule was a little thrown off by vacation so we are making up for the missing posts!

Week five of our 52 week photo challenge! This week the challenge was to get photos of Laughter. We were in the process of packing and traveling and had a challenge really getting the time we wanted for our shots on this weeks challenge. Managed to still squeeze in some time for a small shoot and only one photo is required but we love the second one too and had to share. The first photo is of our little Watson who has a knack for laughing at us on a regular basis, grunts and all. Our second photo is one we took not too long ago of a lovely little girl who gave us full enthusiasm for this shot of her laughter! Let us know your thoughts, what do you think?

We decided to try two different ideas for this shoot and liked them both so much that we decided to use both. We did the obvious Number 2 on the pencils that happened to coincide with back to school and we also did a play on words with The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy book!

Week Three...52 Week Challenge

It's week three of our 52 week photo challenge! This past week we were challenged to get photos of Reflections. Honestly, it was a hard one for us this week. The subject matter really made us think and try to come up with some ideas of what vision we wanted. There are many different ways to make a reflection but we wanted to photograph something that was special to us. We landed on the idea of using a spoon to reflect what we wanted off of a book. Natalie is a tea enthusiast who loves to read as often as she possible can. Over time, Natalie has finally gotten Bobby to like tea. He now is willing and excited to try new types as she ravages through Teavana! The book used for this shoot was The Children of Húrin by J.R.R. Tolkien, love it!

There were several shots that we connected with but we ended up with two shots that we really liked for week three. Let us know your thoughts, what do you think?

Week Two... 52 Week Challenge

It's week two of our 52 week photo challenge! This past week we were challenged to get photos of pets. We have to two beautiful dogs and decided that we wanted to take more pictures of them. Watson, our Yorkie, is always ready to pose when necessary. McGuinness, our Mini Aussie, on the other hand is very difficult to get pictures of. This week made for a great challenge to especially get a picture of McGuinness!
